HORSE RIDING

 

For children, there is usually no greater dream than to sit on the back of a horse. Make this dream come true for your children on a family holiday at the Torbauer in the Gastein Valley. 3 ponies and a donkey lady are waiting for you on the farm.
Choose from: Susi, Sissi, Blümchen or donkey lady ‘Pauline’
Well-behaved animals that look forward to being stroked, groomed and ridden by the children. A walk across the meadows with the ponies will delight parents and children!

CYCLING & MOUNTAIN BIKING

 

Gastein is a paradise for cyclists and mountain bikers. Families will appreciate the easy Gastein Valley Cycle Path, a 30-60km circular route that takes you to the most beautiful places and sights in the region. Restaurants along the way invite you to take a relaxing break. For the more sporty, Gastein offers an extensive network of mountain bike trails with varied forest paths and quiet side roads. 15 specially designed tours offer additional challenges. Whether you are a leisure cyclist or an ambitious mountain biker, Gastein has the right route for you, and there are mountain huts along the way to provide refreshments.

Gastein offers tennis on 36 courts, the family-friendly Dorfgastein solar pool, refreshment in the Gastein bathing lake and relaxation in the Alpentherme. Golfers enjoy the picturesque 18-hole course in Bad Gastein.

Cultural highlights such as Hohenwerfen Castle, Klammstein Castle and the Eisriesenwelt Werfen are just as fascinating as the impressive Lichtenstein Gorge with its waterfalls and ravines.
