The Gastein Valley is a true winter paradise for skiers. With a total of 220 kilometres of pistes, there is something for everyone in the four different ski resorts. The pistes are very varied - from family pistes, carving runs and freeride tours to moguls and deep-snow slopes.

CROSS-COUNTRY SKIING

Cross-country skiing is not only fun, but also an extremely healthy form of exercise for people of all ages. With over 45 kilometres of perfectly groomed trails, Gastein is a cross-country skier's paradise.

In Gastein, the cross-country fun continues well into spring with a snow-assured high-altitude trail at 1600 metres above sea level. In the evenings, the floodlit cross-country trail in Bad Gastein-Böckstein or in the Kurpark in Bad Hofgastein will tempt you to go for a run.

For nature lovers, Salzburger Land offers unforgettable experiences away from the ski slopes: ski tours and snowshoe hikes take you through unspoilt landscapes where only the crunching of the snow and the whistling of the wind can be heard. The more adventurous can enjoy fast-paced tobogganing fun - toboggans can be hired directly at the farm, and a toboggan taxi with horse-drawn sleighs provides additional comfort. Those who prefer a quieter pace can discover the snow-covered mountains of the Gastein Valley on a winter hike, with paths away from the hustle and bustle, directly from the Torbauernhof. Afterwards, the famous thermal spas in Gastein with their healing waters and crystal-clear water invite you to relax perfectly.
